Effective Succession Planning Strategies

Succession planning is critical to a company’s success. The process ensures that organisations have the right people in place to deliver short-term and long-term goals. Employers must be able to identify talent gaps, recognise high potential employees and attract the right external candidates to roles. Poor or non-existent succession planning strategies can result in a loss of productivity, higher turnover of senior management and reputational damage. This session focused on the importance of proactively planning talent development and succession pipelines, the challenges that come with this and the role of HR in the process.
