Julia Hoggett is chief executive officer of London Stock Exchange. She oversees the exchange’s primary and secondary markets and associated products and services from both a regulatory and commercial perspective. She has spent her entire career in capital markets and knows the key role they play in providing vital capital to companies and institutions and delivering returns for individual and institutional investors.

former EU Commissioner for Financial Stability
Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union

Lord Hill took office as European Commissioner in November 2014 with responsibility for financial regulation across the whole of Europe. His flagship programme was the development of a European Capital Markets Union to increase the flow of investment capital throughout the EU. Lord Hill resigned as Commissioner in the immediate aftermath of the UK referendum on EU membership in June 2016.

Helen Thomas first joined the Financial Times in 2004 and was part of the team that pioneered the launch of the FT’s popular markets blog FT Alphaville.
