Managing Intergenerational Teams

Team leaders frequently find themselves managing colleagues from different generations. Lucy Colback, Editorial Director of the FT Women in Business Asia Forum hosts a workshop delivered by Fyiona Yong, one of the youngest certified coaches in Asia and former Head of Operations at Royal Dutch Shell. Lucy Colback,
Editorial Director of the Women in Business Asia Forum,
Financial Times

Lucy is the Financial Times’ former Asia Lex Editor, a role in which she used her 20 year experience as an Asia investment specialist to write commentary on financial market issues.

She is currently researching and writing a book on the experiences of World War Two survivors, while in her spare time editing corporate governance-related publications.

Lucy’s former roles include investment manager at Schroders and Asia equity research sales with Merrill Lynch. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Fyiona Yong,
Director, Wholistic Coachsulting Limited

Fyiona is one of the youngest certified coaches in Asia (ICF ACC) and a DiSC certified trainer with a 14-year corporate career in Royal Dutch Shell where she took up roles in Finance, Digital Transformation and was appointed the youngest Head of Operations globally.

Now, she is a passionate executive coach, key note speaker on multi-generational and cultural inclusion and a trainer for corporates and business schools in Asia. She supports leaders in creating effective and engaged teams who embrace diversity and inclusion, as well as helps the next generation workforce in driving self-leadership and a growth mindset. Fyiona was featured on Forbes, Financial Times Ignites, SCMP, TVB Pearl, China Daily, and HR Magazine APAC to share insights and support current and future leaders to embrace generational and cultural diversity and inclusion.
